dinner with my brother part 2

my brother, charles, and i are off to california and arizona for business. for anyone who hasn't followed the blog, my brother LOVES food and plans his life around his (huge) meals.

traveling with him is challenging for me and my ED, as we sit down to fancy breakfasts, lunches and dinners. we schedule our meetings, travel and lodgings around his (huge) meals.

i've been very comfortable with my eating since i had the flu last week. i've been super busy and food has been in it's proper place, for a big change.

i'm not bringing my laptop on the trip, as there really won't be time to write, but i will try to find a computer -- blogging keeps me sane. i'll miss everyone.

back on sunday. be well!

  1. Have a safe and fun trip! I know it's not easy being around others (especially loved ones) and their food preferences. Just remember that even when it doesn't seem like it, you're in control. You can accompany him to his meals and choose what YOU want. Can't wait to hear about it!

  2. Have a great trip! Remember, California is your healthy place. You love it there, it will be beautiful there, and your brother and his eating habits won't bother you a bit! Best of luck, dear girl, and I'm pulling for you.

I'm glad things are so much better for you lately, I'm proud of you!

  3. I hope you enjoy your excursion. I have missed you! Glad to hear all is well..

    A xx

  4. I think Danielle said it all. You can do this, and do it mightily.

  5. Hey, I've had my head shoved up my bum these last few days but I'm so glad you're feeling ok.... you're doing so well!

  6. kim: i really want to learn to eat what i want, regardless of what others are doing. i do it sometimes, but not enough. i found, on this trip, that i really do miss wine in nice restaurants. i found myself searching for something else -- like cheesecake. i'm hoping that changes with more time away from alcohol.

karen; california IS my dream place. i had a great trip. the flight was easy, the weather was extraordinary, our hotel was unusually nice. our business meeting were very good. i slept really well!!!! i pray we have to go back soon.

ANNIE; I MISS YOU!!! please write when you can. thank you, as always, for your support. talk to you soon....

DM and Gaining Back: breathing is key, especially exhaling. that feels great. i find i hold my breath a lot. lately, i've been exhaling all over the place. that must be quite a sight.

Abi; glad your heads out of your bum, ma'am. i am feeling well, and i'm thrilled. here's to all of us feeling magnificently!!!
