The scale's beginning to work it's evil magic again -- i've gained 5 pounds and it's making me grumpy. My guy friend says, "throw it out. stop weighing yourself. if you didn't know, you wouldn't be miserable".
Spoken by someone who's weighed the same thing since high school, and he's 53.
But he's right. All these years later, and those damn digits can still bum me out.
Okay, here I go. It's going in the trash. I can barely believe how difficult that feels.
How will i do? Stay tuned.
This blog will help to keep me "honest"
I kind of want to say, seriously!
ReplyDeleteBut that is/feels heartless.
BUT! You deserve so much more than worrying over 5lbs.
Seriously.
You have a life to live and you need to let go.
And you CAN do it <3
I threw my scale out almost a year ago and it was one of the best things I've ever done!
ReplyDeleteSia Jane; thanks, you are absolutely right. i love your response!
ReplyDeleteAngela; hi, hi and thank you for writing. my issue always is -- i throw it out for a while and then always gain weight and i really like my current, average weight. BUT, i need to learn to let that go. if my body wants more weight, who am i to play God?
Throw it out!! good riddance. New year and no scale. I did it and yes, living without it gave me anxiety but still.... It was less than the anxiety that the scale gave me.
